With thanksgiving for the words of Rabbi Yosef Kanefsy, Los Angeles Congregation, B’nai David-Judea;
Every hand that we do not shake must become a phone call we place. Every embrace that we avoid must become a verbal expression of warmth and concern. Every foot that we physically place between ourselves and another must become a thought as to how we might help that other, should the need arise.
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NLT)
Worship is the people:
- Listening to the Word of God;
- Receiving grace in Baptism and Holy Communion;
- Learning about God’s wonderful acts;
- Awaiting God’s promised fulfillment; and,
- Responding with prayer, praise and thanksgiving.
